Grief to Wellness

St John’s Dixie provides a safe, welcoming group setting for those who have been torn apart by a loss of a loved one.  Groups are held on Thursday nights, 6:15 pm – 8 pm, and are facilitated by Maggie Shields.  They are held at St. John the Baptist (Dixie) Church, 719 Dundas St. E, Mississauga L4Y 2B5 (north-east corner of Dundas St. E. & Cawthra Road) with plenty of parking. Who is Maggie Shields?

Maggie is a certified group facilitator offering over 20 years of experience, warmth and compassion to families who have suffered the loss of a loved one.

Non-denominational Support Groups are held on Thursday evenings for 12-week periods, 4 times per year. Seating is limited.

Although grief is painful, it is necessary and natural. Grief is a part of life. It is not a pathological illness. We are committed to providing grief support, guidance and education.
