This Gallery, like a family album, is, on the face of it – no pun intended – a pictorial record of the people who have responded to God’s call to witness to his presence in this sacred place. But for us, as members of St. John’s, it has a much deeper meaning. For this photo gallery is more than a mere collection of the faces and events of those whose presence enrich our common life. Behind the pictures is the story of the many relationships that make this community, for us, sacred. Surrounding each picture there is a story; a tale of the people who have touched our lives; the people with whom we have shared both bliss and woe. All of the images are deeply symbolic of our enduring relationship with the one in whose image we are made and whose steadfast love we encounter in the face of his Son.

It’s not so much that these pictures paint a thousand words, as the old adage goes. Rather, it is that the people they depict, and the relationships they recall us to rejoice in, are indelibly etched on the canvas of our common life.
